The Seattle Public Library is hosting a free preview of Seattle Opera’s upcoming production of Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” at the Green Lake Branch (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) next Thursday (Jan 6, 2011), 2-3 p.m. No registration is required.
“Arguably the funniest of all comic operas,” the library’s event posting reads, “Rossini’s delightful, vivacious romp kicks off with an instantly recognizable overture, gains speed with a non-stop parade of hit tunes, and concludes with an ‘all is forgiven’ finale bubbling over with joy.”
