A local mom reports about a theft that took place in the garage of her building, located on NE 65th St at 4th Ave NE, on Sunday night (Dec. 12, 2010).
Sometime during the night, her brand-new baby stroller was stolen.
The thief or thieves also stole bits and pieces off other equipment nearby. They removed screws, CatEye lights, and seats off of two bicycles and completely removed all of the parts off of a third.
A fourth bike, which was not locked, was also missing screws. A front wheel was taken from a jogging stroller.
“Even the police officer who came,” the woman reports, “said he’s rarely seen that.”
She advises that people bring their bikes and strollers inside at night, if possible.
