Last night (Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010), we received an email from Megan, who lives in a townhouse on NE Ravenna Blvd.
Megan reports that she returned home yesterday to find that a package, addressed to her from Amazon, had been ripped open and thrown across her porch. As well, someone had tried to kick her doorknob and pick the locks. ”Luckily,” she said, “they were unsuccessful and were unable to get into my home.”
“I just thought others in the neighborhood might want a heads up,” Megan wrote. ”I know that a lot of people seem to be out of town on my street, so I am guessing burglars are trying to capitalize on that.”
Earlier this month, a package was stolen off a porch in Whittier Heights and replaced by another box full of garbage. Read more about that incident on My Ballard.
