Reader Amy wrote to us a little while back with a question about Green Lake Park. Amy, who visits the park at night, asked if the Parks Department has ever considered putting in lighting around the Green Lake loop. 1,700 people expected in Green Lake this Sunday for the Green Lake Gobble and Mashed Potato Munch Off
The Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off is returning to Green Lake this Sunday (Nov. 21, 2010). 1,700 people are expected to attend. The event begins at 9:10 a.m. with a free Kids Dash, followed by a 5K run/walk at 9:30 a.m. and the Mashed Potato Munch Off at 10:45 a.m. The race course can be viewed here. Partial proceeds, as well as canned food collected onsite, will be donated to Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, the official event benefactor.
