This morning (Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010), shortly after 10 a.m. in Green Lake, very slight snow flakes began to fall, prompting several “snow!” tweets from the Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off at Green Lake Park. Around 11:45 a.m., the snow started to pick up. At 12:15 p.m., it’s still coming down, although it is not sticking. Update, Monday Nov. 22: Due to snow, this meeting has been canceled. The next Friends of Green Lake meeting will be Jan. 25, 2011. The Friends of Green Lake meets at 7 p.m. this Tuesday (Nov. 23, 2010) at The Hearthstone (6720 E Green Lake Way N). Karl Bruun, an algologist, will be speaking at the meeting.
