Find inspiration in the moment at hand and connection to the Creative Spirit by writing haiku—brief poems that express the heart of a moment.

With humor and encouragement, instructor Margaret McGee uses step-by-step exercises to take the mystery and intimidation out of this short poetic form, showing how writing haiku can be part of your spiritual life. This series will draw specifically on themes of Advent.

The class will be held Monday nights Nov.29 and Dec. 6, 2010 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm, at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 111 NE 80th St in Seattle. $25; $25 seniors, students, and low income.
