The third annual Seattle City Championships table tennis tournament will be held Oct. 23 and 24, 2010 at the Green Lake Table Tennis Center (GLTTC).
The GLTCC is based out of the Green Lake Community Center gymnasium (7201 E Green Lake Drive N). Although several programs at the Green Lake Community Center recently got the axe under Mayor McGinn’s proposed 2011 budget, the table tennis program was not effected.
Over $500 in prize money, as well as awards and trophies, are up for grabs at the Seattle City Championships. There will be events for juniors and adults.
All are welcome at two special spectator events:
- 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23 – High School Championship final, and Open Doubles final
- 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 – Under 14 Years Championship final, and Open Singles final
Tickets to the spectator events are $2 each day, but free to participants and their families.
There will be a coaching table where spectators and participants can connect with Seattle-area coaches, and a players’ lounge with table tennis videos playing all weekend.
Entry forms must be received by Oct. 19, or they will be subject to a $5 late fee.
