Greenlake Kids Dentistry launches Halloween Candy Buy Back program

Greenlake Kids Dentistry, located in the Circa Green Lake building on the NW corner of NE Ravenna Blvd and Woodlawn Ave NE, is starting a unique Halloween tradition.

Dr. Troy Hull, who opened the pediatric dental office in April, is launching a Halloween Candy Buy Back program in partnership with Operation Gratitude and Green Halloween Seattle.

Greenlake Kids Dentistry will reward Seattle-area children $1 per pound of Halloween candy that they donate to Operation Gratitude.  Operation Gratitude will send the candy in care packages to U.S. troops overseas.

“We are letting kids know that their candy can be used for a greater purpose this Halloween,” says Dr. Hull.  “We encourage moderation, so we’re giving kids a reason to give away the candy they don’t need.   We know that children rise to the occasion when they’re asked, so we are providing a forum for them to give up something they love to benefit the brave people serving our country.  It is the ultimate win-win.”

Unopened candy and letters to our overseas troops will be collected at Greenlake Kids Dentistry (6900 East Green Lake Way N) the Monday after Halloween (Nov. 1, 2010), 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
