Squealing pigs heard roaming an alley in east Green Lake last night
My Green Lake reader Julie wrote us this morning (Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010) to report that, around midnight last night, she heard some pigs roaming the alley behind her house, located at Woodlawn Ave N & N 63rd St. The pigs, Julie says, woke her up. “There must have been at least three of them,” Julie says. “There was one outside my window and I heard more across the alley. Pedestrian struck while jaywalking at 67th and Aurora
A pedestrian was struck on Aurora Ave N at N 67th St, just west of Green Lake Park, shortly after noon today (Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010). The man was crossing Aurora from the west side, near Greenlake Farmers Market. Although there is a crosswalk at N 68th St, he was jaywalking at N 67th St. The man was struck by a northbound van in the inside lane. The impact of the crash broke the van’s front headlight.
