Mayor Mike McGinn’s End Hunger Food Drive is approaching.  On Saturday, September 25, 2010, volunteers across King County will collect food for those in need at participating grocery stores.

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., donations will be accepted at the Greenlake PCC (7504 Aurora Ave N).  The food will help feed hungry families, children and seniors in the North Seattle region.

Volunteers are needed from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. to help collect food and distribute it back to the Greenwood Food Bank.  Volunteers will work in three hour shifts. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Erin Pankow at epankow [at] voaww.org or (425) 259-3191 x2251.
