The Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N) is kicking off its 2010-11 season with a special pre-sale for Mauritius.  The play, a suspenseful thriller, will be at SPT October 1-24, 2010.

The pre-sale discount is $2 off all preview, opening night, and youth tickets, and $4 off all adult and senior tickets.  This deal is only available through the box office and lasts through 5 p.m. on September 11.  The box office is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon – 5 p.m., and can be reached at (206) 524-1300.

Mauritius is a gripping new play from Theresa Rebeck, the Pulitzer-prize nominated author who’s been called a “female David Mamet.”

Surprisingly, stamp collecting is riskier than one might think.   Jackie and Mary are half-sisters whose mother’s death leaves them in possession of a rare stamp collection. But which sister actually owns the stamps? Which of three dealers can be trusted with their sale?

Directed by Russ Banham, Mauritius stars Mark Fullerton, Heather Hawkins, Joseph P. McCarthy, Carolyn Marie Monroe and John Murray.
