At 8:48 a.m. this morning (Monday, August 23, 2010), fourteen emergency response units were called to a fire at 2353 N 57th St.
While initial scanner chatter indicated that the house may be abandoned and that the fire was a “furnace backfire,” later reports indicated that the house may be occupied.
Streets around the scene were closed to traffic following the fire.
Firefighters were packing up by 9:10 a.m., and by 9:15 a.m., all units except for one were called away from the scene.
Thanks for the tip, Silver!
