All summer, we’ve been treated to free shows at the Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N).

Sadly, the summer is drawing to an end and only three free shows remain.

You can still catch a free Youth Program performance of Much Ado About Nothing tonight (Friday, August 27th, 2010) at 7 p.m. or tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 p.m. or 7 p.m.

Directed by Shana Bestock, SPT’s 14-18 year-olds perform Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare’s sexy, side-splitting comedy about two very convoluted courtships. War-weary heroes return home, but now sparks fly as a different battle commences. Will love triumph?  Come find out in this joyous, wise-cracking comedy of love, honor and second chances.

SPT is also hosting an ice cream social, sponsored by Peaks Frozen Custard, tomorrow (Saturday), 3:30 – 5 p.m., at the Bathhouse.  Come by and enjoy a free scoop of frozen custard!
