This year’s Seattle CROP Hunger Walk at Green Lake will be October 3, 2010.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. at the Green Lake United Methodist Church (6415 1st Ave NE). At 1:30 p.m., walkers will leave the church and head down the street to the 2.8 mile Green Lake loop.
A program of the Church World Service, CROP Hunger Walks “help children and families worldwide — and right here in the U.S. — to have food for today, while building for a better tomorrow.” A portion of the funds raised in Seattle will benefit Northwest Harvest, North Helpline Food Bank, West Seattle Food Bank, and White Center Food Bank.
North Helpline food donation barrels will be located at the check-in and at various points along the walk.
