New toddler dance classes at eXit SPACE in east Green Lake
New dance classes for toddlers are coming to eXit SPACE School of Dance (414 NE 72nd St). Parents, grandparents, and other caregivers are invited to bring their toddlers (walking through 3-years-old) to the classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays, 10:00-10:55 a.m. This class is a fabulous way to play with your child, exploring movement and music that nurtures the body and brain. Green Lake Ben & Jerry’s for sale
The Ben & Jerry’s Green Lake Scoop Shop (7900 E Green Lake Dr N) is for sale. The scoop shop has been in Green Lake since 2008. It was located in U Village for ten years prior to that. The asking price for the shop (and the surrounding franchise territory) is $215,000, or best offer. The shop’s owner, Andy Wuerfel, says that there has been a lot of casual interest from potential buyers, but no serious offers have emerged yet. Herbicide use at the Green Lake Community Center

Two weeks ago, I saw a sign at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) that they had applied an herbicide to the grass. I got a little freaked out thinking that meant they sprayed ALL the grass at Green Lake, which means my baby must get coated in it because he loves to crawl everywhere. I sent an email to the parks department for clarification on where they were applying the herbicide….
