It would have been nice of the police to have sent an officer to talk to the watching neighbors at the end of their search, just so we knew we weren't in danger. We assumed that it must not have been a violent crime since they didn't keep up their search for suspect #2 very long, but the only time an officer addressed the neighbors was to warn my next door neighbor to go inside or stay close to the door since the K-9 was loose doing his search.
