A garbage can caught on fire tonight (Saturday, July 17, 2010) at Green Lake Park.
Green Lake’s Engine 16 was dispatched to the fire at 10:38 p.m. The fire truck parked in front of Greenlake Guest House (7630 E Green Lake Dr N).
Blayne McAferty, innkeeper at the Greenlake Guest House, shared the following report:
Firefighters thought it may have been started when a person put a cigarette in the can without extinguishing it. Firefighters left about 11:00pm.
