Cat missing from 80th and Wallingford: Have you seen Nemo?

What do you think? (20 Comments) July 29, 2010 at 10:13PM
This is Nemo:
Nemo
Nemo is a domestic long-haired black cat.  His owner, Naomi, describes him as having a tail that “doesn’t work” – it just drags behind him.

Nemo, who lives near N 80th St and Wallingford Ave N, didn’t make it home last night (Wednesday, July 28, 2010).  Naomi last saw him around 9 p.m.

“He does have a propensity to leave his collar behind sometimes,” says Naomi, “but hopefully he is still wearing it.”

Nemo’s collar has a tag with Naomi’s phone number on it: 480-268-3071.  If you see Nemo, please give Naomi a call.

This owner should be put in the animal shelter for letting their precious cat out of their house, if dogs can be put in the pound so should cats.

I don't appreciate that my neighbors let their cats to run around loose in our street. It really gets to me when I see cat foot prints on top of my car.
I'm glad we have coyotes in our area to take of this problem.

Righhhht…. because dogs can't jump fences and cats can, cats should be made to stay indoors their whole life while it's okay for dogs to be out disturbing all the neighbors with their incessant barking.

My dogs don't crap in my neighbors flower bed, don't walk on my neighbors cars, don't get into fights at 2am outside my window, don't fornicate because they are fixed, do not jump fences, do not spray my neighbors doors; if your cat was not wondering the neighborhood they would not agitate dogs, and if you would talk to your neighbor about the barking it can be curbed. Cats should not wonder the neighborhood.

Cats should not roam. One of my neighbor's cats has decided that the side of my house is its litter box. Why should I have to clean up its poop? I don't let my dog poop in their yard, why should your cat be allowed to poop in mine? Of course, I don't know who the cat belongs to, so I can't address the issue.

Geesh with upset folks like you- perhaps one of you made poor Nemo disappear for good!

Haha dogs don't crap in others' yards…. or pee on everyone's lawns & create big brown spots, and they only bark when there's a cat nearby (I must look like a cat)… and birds, raccoons, squirrels, and other assorted animals never poop on private property. Cats are the only problem.

As a dog owner, I pick up after my dogs should the decide they need to crap in your yard, if they piss in your yard I dilute the piss with water. And you are comparing domesticated animals to wild animals. Keep your cat in your house/yard, Ill keep my dogs in my house/yard that simple.

Tell me where your car is parked and a description of same. I'll come by and leave more than footprints.

Wow, some of you guys are a bit mean, don't you think?

I agree that both cats and dogs should be kept on the owner's property unless leashed, not only out of respect for the neighbors but also for the safety of the pets! I'm admittedly a cat person, although I do like dogs as well, and I hate to see either get hit by cars or attacked by other animals. It's a well-documented fact that indoor cats live longer lives on average.

I hope the owner finds her kitty, and I live fairly close by so I'll be on the lookout. But once she does find him, I hope she keeps him inside!
