From The Seattle Public Library:
Step back in time and see clothing styles and enjoy music from the early 1900s.
Representatives from Goodwill’s Vintage Fashion Collection will provide an exhibit at each event featuring vintage clothing and an interactive hat show with hats to view and try on.
The celebrations will also feature live piano music with songs from the early 1900s, children’s craft activities, refreshments and commemorative giveaways.
The Green Lake Library is currently collecting written stories from patrons about their favorite branch experiences. Patrons can use specially designed scrapbook paper available at the Green Lake Library. The stories will be included in an anniversary scrapbook that will be on display during the celebration. You can also e-mail your stories for inclusion in the scrapbook to andra.addison [at] spl.org. Be sure to identify the Green Lake Branch in your e-mail.
