2010 citywide chicken coop tour to make several stops in NE Seattle

Learn about raising hens and building chicken coops!

Seattle Tilth is hosting a citywide chicken coop tour on Saturday, July 10, 2010, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.  While the locations have not been disclosed, we do know that thirteen of the stops are in northeast Seattle.

Do you have the urban farm itch? Spend a summer afternoon with family or friends visiting some of the city’s hardy urban farm folk and find out for yourself what it’s like to keep a flock of egg-laying hens. Also on tour: bees, goats, ducks, green building, rainwater harvesting, a solar oven and serious organic food production. Learn more….
