If you’ve been to Green Lake’s Turnpike Pizza on a Tuesday night, you’ve probably seen them: about fifty sweaty runners filling up on pizza.
Wondering what this group is all about? It’s a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team In Training.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training (TNT) offers hands-on training unlike any other program. You’ll get more help than with other charities, gyms, online training programs or sports clubs. We’re an established network of coaches, mentors and teammates, built by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society over the past 22 years.
We set your training regimen. We advise you on nutrition and injury prevention. We hold weekly team workouts to encourage one another and stay on track.
The team invites you to join them next Tuesday (May 18, 2010), 7:30 – 9 p.m. at Turnpike Pizza (in the Circa Green Lake building at 6900 E Green Lake Way N).
The event is a fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Turnpike Pizza will be donating $1 for every pint of beer, $3 for every salad or mini-pizza (yep, that’s a new size!) and $4 for every pitcher of beer or full pie sold during the event.
There is free parking in the Circa garage, which can be entered on 4th Ave NE.
