A look inside Green Lake's newest business: Greenlake Kids Dentistry

What do you think? (6 Comments) May 15, 2010 at 4:09PM

Dr. Troy Hull of Greenlake Kids Dentistry was kind enough to invite me in for a tour of his new practice, located in the Circa Green Lake building on the NW corner of NE Ravenna Blvd and Woodlawn Ave NE.

Green Lake’s newest business opened its doors just over two weeks ago (Thursday, April 29, 2010).  It’s a gorgeous spot, as the following photos by Ben VanHouten of VanHouten Photography, Inc. attest to.

Dr. Hull has been a dentist for almost 12 years.   His goal is to get kids and teens to adulthood without being afraid of the dentist, while also providing a calm and pleasant experience for parents.

Of special note is that Greenlake Kids Dentistry is the only private pediatric dental office in Seattle that is accepting low-income families with Medicaid insurance.  As Dr. Hull says, it’s important to do the right thing.

Thanks for bringing your practice to Green Lake, Dr. Hull, and best of luck to you!

Great news, especially re the Medicaid acceptance. But doesn't Odessa Brown, in the Central District, also take Medicaid?

Go Dr. Hull — dental care is important.

    Hey Benjamin-

Dr. Hull here. Thanks for the great shout out! We're so happy to be a part of such a great neighborhood! Teeth are important! And you're right, the Odessa Brown Dental Clinic does accept Medicaid insurance coverage, and so does the 45th St. Clinic in Wallingford. The difference is that those clinics are publicly-funded community health centers that get special reimbursement from the State and Federal government to provide dental services to low-income families. We are the only private pediatric dental office in the city of Seattle that is accepting low-income families with Medicaid insurance into the practice. We want everybody to have the opportunity to have happy, healthy teeth and love coming to visit the dentist here at Greenlake Kids Dentistry. Thanks for the interest and for following us as we grow with neighborhood!

Thanks for clarifying, Dr. Hull, and many apologies if I misquoted you. :)
