2010 Battle at the Lake

The 7th Annual Battle at the Lake basketball tournament will be held this year on Friday, July 16 (6 – 9 p.m.), Saturday, July 17 (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.), and Sunday, July 18 (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N).

Come enjoy some of Seattle’s best high school, college, and professional men and women basketball players as they compete in this traditional out-door tournament.  This free family oriented event also features a slam dunk contest, a fashion show, and autograph opportunities.

The Battle of the Lake basketball tournament is the brainchild of the Marvin Thomas Memorial Fund.

The mission of the Marvin Thomas Memorial Fund is to provide positive, supportive and safe programs for children. We want to provide food, fun, educational opportunities, interactions and working relationships with the community and other agencies.

    Are the “college & pro players” by invitation only?
    Or is this just a dunk competition?
    Why not make this an open “3 on 3″ Tournament?
    And a “free throw” Tournament.
    17 hours of Court Time … for just dunks (?)

    Hi how's it going I was wondering how I could get in the dunk contest?? I played last year at Bellevue College and am a good dunker, if nothing else.. lol. I think it'd be fun to do. However, I'm not playing in the tournament. Is this something casual that I can just come out to and dunk in? You can email me at afflash3@hotmail.com or just reply here.. Thanks!

    Ok thanks for the info! Also, it says Sunday's time is from 10am – 5pm.. that's a pretty big window. If I wanted to do the dunk contest, do you know of a more specific time that it might start?
