Tree crashes down in Green Lake Park

Just before 3 p.m. this afternoon (Monday, April 26, 2010), a loud crash could be heard in Green Lake Park.

A tree, located just north of the Green Lake Bathhouse (7312 West Green Lake Dr N), was felled by a gust of wind.

My Green Lake tipster Michael Bowers provided this shot of the tree:

Michael reports that no one was hurt when the tree came down.

    Looks like the tree that was at the head of the trail that cuts off around the bathhouse. I've been noticing the limb going over the path seemed to be getting lower as I just about have to duck going under it. Makes me think the tree wasn't especially healthy. It's certainly not now!
