There will be a memorial service on Saturday, April 24, 2010 for long-time Green Lake resident Maybeth Pressley. The service will be held at 2 p.m. at Green Lake United Methodist Church, a.k.a. “the castle” (6415 1st Ave NE, across the street from Green Lake Elementary School). Mrs. Pressley lived in the Green Lake neighborhood for over 80 years. Her home at 6509 Sunnyside Ave N is currently on the market. Jogger attacked at Green Lake Park
SeattleCrime.com is reporting that a woman was attacked at 10 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Green Lake Park. According to a police report, a man grabbed her and tried to force her off the running trail.
