Upcoming events at Green Lake’s Mockingbird Books

Green Lake’s children’s bookstore Mockingbird Books (7220 Woodlawn Ave NE) wrote to tell us about three upcoming events:

On Saturday, April 24th, 11 am – 11:30 am, long time (and retiring) Coop Preschool Teacher Karen Truelove will be doing story time at Mockingbird Books. 10% of book sales will go the PAC Scholarship Fund. Karen is a fabulous story teller and has been adored by many families during her 30 years of teaching.

Mockingbird Books will be hosting Inside Story, an event that gives 26 local authors and illustrators three minutes to talk about their latest books, on Wednesday, April 28th at 6:30 pm. Join us for this wonderful chance to hear about new books and meet some of the talented writers and illustrators we have in the Northwest. Refreshments will be served and we look forward to seeing you. Please RSVP @ 206-518-5886 or geeta [at] mockingbirdbooksgl.com.

Lois Harris, an Anacortes author, will be at Mockingbird Books on Saturday, May 1 at 1 pm to talk about her latest book, Charlie Russell: Tale-Telling Cowboy Artist. This picture book biography for young readers will be enjoyed by everyone interested in the West, art, and cowboys. Lois has also written Mary Cassatt: Impressionist Painter.
