This upcoming weekend (Friday, April 23 – Sunday, April 25, 2010) is going to be a busy one in the Green Lake neighborhood.
Friday:
- Friday night is opening night of Seattle Public Theater’s Youth Theater Program’s production of “Room Service.” The performance is free and runs through May 1.
- The Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club plant sale begins on Friday, 4-8 p.m.
Saturday:
- The Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club plant sale continues, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Mars Hill Church is hosting a Green Lake cleanup and cookout.
- Meridian Market is throwing a third anniversary party.
- There will be a special story time at Mockingbird Books.
- The DRAGONSLAYER Bike, Hike or Trike fundraiser for the Northwest Sarcoma Foundation and a Water Blessing Walk for Global Healing will be coming to Green Lake Park.
- Green Lake United Methodist Church will host an “Open Castle” in the morning. In the afternoon, there will be a memorial service at the church for long-time Green Lake resident Maybeth Pressley.
- The Green Lake Elementary School Auction is Saturday night.
Sunday:
- Top Pot Doughnuts 5K Doughnut Dash & Walk is coming to Green Lake Park.
- The Open Castle will continue at Green Lake United Methodist Church.
- In the evening, Northwest Girlchoir will perform at at Bethany Lutheran Church.
