The Greenlake PCC (7504 Aurora Ave N) is hosting a free family nutrition class on Sunday, May 16, 2010.  There will be two separate 45-minute classes held at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Are you running out of ideas on how to feed your picky eater? Do you feel overwhelmed by the task to feed your family well?

We are offering free family nutrition classes at select stores to help parents provide the meals and snacks your children need to be their strongest. Come enjoy delicious samples, hands-on activities, and leave with information to help you make healthy choices to feed the whole family. The Kid Picks Mobile also will be on site. Kids, picky eaters and dedicated parents all are welcome.

Space is limited so please come early! Registration is not required; for more info contact Leika Suzumura at leika.suzumura [at] pccsea.com or call her at 206-547-1222.

In addition, PCC and Seattle Children’s Hospital have joined forces to help local families in need. Starting May 1 and running through June 15, PCC will donate 5% of “Kid Picks” product sales, up to a total of $10,000, to support Seattle Children’s as part of the “Families Helping Families” program.

More about PCC’s Kid Picks:

All Kid Picks products have been approved by at least two-thirds of their kid “judges,” making the Kid Picks label a reliable indicator that kids are likely to enjoy a particular food or product. Every Kid Picks item then is flagged with a bright orange tag bearing the Kid Picks logo, which is easy to spot as families roll their carts down the aisles.
