Preview Seattle Opera's "Amelia" for free at the Green Lake Library

The Green Lake Branch of the Seattle Public Library (7364 E Green Lake Dr N) will host a free preview of Seattle Opera’s upcoming production of “Amelia.”

The preview will be 2 – 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010.

From the Seattle Public Library:

The preview is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot.

“Amelia” is about a first time expectant mother grappling with the trauma caused by the loss of her father in Vietnam. “Amelia” is a new opera commissioned by the Seattle Opera and created by Daron Hagen, Gardner McFall and Stephen Wadsworth.

The preview will include recorded musical excerpts designed to enhance the enjoyment and appreciation of the production.
