The Green Lake Community Center has a lot to offer neighborhood teens

Hey teens!  There’s a lot going on at the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N) for you.

From the Seattle Parks and Recreation Spring 2010 North Central Catalog [pdf]:

Teen Lounge – Open from 3:00 – 8:30 p.m. each week day and 10:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.  Play ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, plug in a movie, and much more.

Teen Swim – Every Tuesday night at Evans Pool, 7-8 p.m.  FREE.

Pottery Program – Bi-weekly, learn the basics of making bowls and pots or simply be creative.  All items are fired for only $1 and can be taken home.

Spring Break Movie Madness – Spend all day at the Green Lake Community Center and watch your favorite movies.  FREE (including popcorn and drinks!).

Monday, March 29 – Batman movies
Tuesday, March 30 – Animated movies
Wednesday, March 31 – Action movies
Thursday, April 1 – Musicals
Friday, April 2 – Sports classics

March Madness at Green Lake – Watch the NCAA Basketball Tournament from the comfort of the Green Lake Teen Room.

Teen Council - Help create ideas and programs from start to finish.  Great for Senior Projects!

Teens Teaching Teens/Kids – Help create and teach a drop-in or regular class.  Get paid! Great for Senior Projects.

Teen-led BBQ – March 27, 5-8 p.m. Volunteers eat free and can earn service learning credits.

Last Day of School Bash – June 22, 2-5 p.m. (or the last day of school, if there is an extension of the school year).  BBQ and play games.
