Last Sunday (February 28, 2010), we reported that there was a large amount of police activity at 82nd and Aurora, stemming from a physical and sexual assault at the Everspring Inn (8201 Aurora Ave N).
Some more information has come to light about this incident. SeattleCrime.com has published the details of a police report that was released on Thursday. (Warning: the information provided in the report is graphic and might be disturbing to some readers.)
In addition, Aurora|Seattle has posted an account of the evening from Karen Cirulli, a community organizer along the Aurora corridor. Ms. Cirulli salutes the brave motel manager who broke up the sexual assault and subdued the suspect until police arrived.
Update, Monday, March 8: SeattleCrime.com is reporting that the man who was arrested on the evening of February 28 died at Harborview two days after the arrest.
