Luau to re-open as Pour House by mid-March

After Tangletown’s beloved Luau Polynesian Lounge (2253 North 56th St) closed its doors on January 26, rumor had it that it was to be replaced by a cocktail lounge.

Seattle Times food writer Nancy Leson spoke with new owners Jay Farias and Erik Knutson and has confirmed that yes, the restaurant will re-open as Pour House Bar & Dining by mid-March:

Contractors are already hard at it, sandblasting and acid-staining the floor, cutting “windows” into the wall between the bar and the Bora Bora Room. They’ll be pulling out the bar’s rail and making the main space 21-and-over, with the smaller dining area available for families. [ ... ]

The menu will be “upscale casual without the pretension,” and small plates will likely loom large.

Is Lagunita's Brewery affiliated with the change?

    Hi sum anon,

Just writing up another post about the Pour House right now (stay tuned!), but to answer your question — nope, no affiliation. :)
