Earlier today, we received the following tweet from My Green Lake reader Evan Jacobs:
@MyGreenLake Any idea what happened on 55th between Meridian and Wallingford? Maybe an accident between a pedestrian and garbage truck?
We have not heard any details, but SeattleCrime.com’s 911 Map shows that there was indeed a major medical event at Canfield Pl N & N 55th St at 11:28 this morning (Friday).

Update, Saturday, 9:30 a.m.: This story was syndicated to seattlepi.com. That posting received the following comment from a reader: “SFD responded to an accident involving a garbage truck, in which ‘crushing injuries’ were reported.”
