The Green Seattle Partnership is holding a training on March 13, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., for community members interested in taking a leadership role in forest restoration. Contact Andrea Mojzak at andream@cascadeland.org or 206-905-6920 for more information.
The Green Seattle Partnership offers the opportunity to make real positive change by volunteering in your local parks. We work to make our public greenspaces healthier and more sustainable by removing aggressive invasive plants and replanting with native northwest forest species. We also seek to build a community of stewardship around these public spaces to safeguard their future.
Parks and open spaces are vital to cities and, in the Puget Sound, we are fortunate to have a legacy of forested parklands. Seattle’s parks and greenbelts strengthen local neighborhoods and provide numerous valuable “green services”. The Green Seattle Partnership program works to protect this important legacy of beautiful parks and vibrant communities for our children and great-grandchildren through a public-private partnership between the City, the Cascade Land Conservancy, and the residents of Seattle.
The Green Seattle Partnership works to support volunteers with expertise, materials and encouragement. Join the 75+ GSP Forest stewards currently working in our parks. While we are appreciative of volunteer efforts in all Green Seattle parks, we are especially focused on filling our needs in the following parks:
Westcrest
Golden Gardens
Cheasty Greenspace
East Duwamish Greenbelt
Kinnear Park
Dearborn Park
Lincoln Park
Woodland Park
