March-October 2010: Permaculture Skills Workshops
We in Green Lake are graced with a local treasure in Jenny Pell, internationally renowned permaculture teacher. She is jumping on board to work with the Green Lake Thumbs and Sustainable Green Lake (SGL)!
Jenny Pell, Marisha Auerbach and special guests will be offering a fabulous and unique 8 weekend (one per month) Permaculture Skills Workshop series from March to October 2010. Following the concept of the Transition Towns “re-skilling,” topics covered include Designing & Planting an Edible Yard; Building and Installing Solar Air and Solar Hot Water Heaters; Designing and Installing a Legal Greywater Filtration System; Herbal Medicines and much more! You can sign up for just one, some or all of them.
There is a special discount for Sustainable Green Lake members interested in signing up for one or more of these workshops. All we need is a “package” of 8 slots in any of the workshops and we can register as a “community group.”
