Green Lake architect wins national award

Local architect Emory Baldwin has won a national AARP Livable Communities Award for his home in the Green Lake area. The award winners were announced today by AARP and the National Association of Homebuilders. Dog lost in north Green Lake – have you seen Palmer?

We just heard from Ashley that her dog, Palmer, got out of her yard this morning and has been missing all day. Ashley writes that Palmer is “elderly, super friendly, and has a bad hind leg.” He went missing from the north side of Green Lake, near BluWater and Chocolati. Have you seen Palmer?  Give Ashley a ring at 206-718-5694. Update: Friday, January 22nd 1:10 p.m. Palmer has been found! He returned home to Ashley late last night.

You know how we told you that the Ben & Jerry’s Green Lake Scoop Shop (7900 E Green Lake Dr N, Ste 104) was closing down shop until March 1st? Well, happy day!  We just spotted the following on the Green Lake Ben & Jerry’s twitter stream (@frozeneuphoria): FYI- Reopening Feb 1st to celebrate an early spring!!!
