A man who watched a car prowler break the window of his vehicle chased the suspect about four blocks to Cowen Park, where he was arrested near a bridge by Seattle police.

The incident started early Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Northeast 65th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast.

The car prowl victim saw the crime, then chased the man at a safe distance to Cowen Park, which starts at the intersection of Northeast 62nd Street and 15th Avenue Northeast.

As the man ran, he called in his and the suspect’s location to police, department spokesman Jeff Kappel said.

The suspected prowler was arrested near a Cowen Park bridge and taken to King County Jail, Kappel said.
