Wanted: Towels to dry off cold poets emerging from the Green Lake deep

Got some extra towels in your linen closet?  Why not give them a shot at literary glory? Mylinda sent in the following:

Wanted: Towels to dry off cold poets!

They will be reading their frosty lines on Saturday December 12th, then jumping into the lake ~ brrrrr ~ and we need some warm snugglies to wrap them up once they emerge.

If you have towels to donate:
I can pick them up,
you can drop them off,
or you can come to the event & bring them.

I’m also looking for push pots to borrow, for hot cocoa & tea.  (I’m talking to a cafe about borrowing some, but want to just put it out there, in the case there are any not in use that day. This project isn’t funded, so we can’t rent them.)

Here’s a little more info if your curious:
Mimi (A.K. Allin ~ the poettess,) is bringing the Polar Poets to Green Lake for the second annual Plunge on Saturday December 12th at noon.

Some of you may remember the poettess at Green Lake … She kept a desk every Sunday for a year at the lake, had runners run around GL with poems on their backs, had umbrellas with poems circling the lake, and last year braved the rath of the Jack Frost to read poetry & jump into the frigid water at Green Lake. (Please note, this is ONLY a sampling of her fabulous poetry escapades, not a full list!)
