Although Wednesday night may not be your typical night to go out on the town, there is definitely a reason to brave the cold weather and make a trip around Green Lake.
Pies and Pints (1215 NE 65th St) boasts an awesome late-night happy hour menu and a swinging band to boot.
Every Wednesday, Slimpickins plays from 8-11 pm, and if you have never heard their old-time-jam-band sound then you will be delightfully impressed. The four members have a lot of fun belting out bluegrass standards and I always love watching them do it.
Just pair that with some cheap eats and a strong ale and your “hump day” will be all the more delightful.
