Suspicious activity noted in East Green Lake neighborhood

Thanks to Cat for letting us know about the following suspicious activity in the neighborhood: I saw someone looking intensely into a Jeep Wrangler on 4th ave ne between 65th and woodlawn ave yesterday [Tuesday, December 22] around noon.  Maybe he was just ‘looking’ inside, but it looked curious. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, hood up, baseball cap up, and had a back pack. He was probably any where between the age 25-40 years old – tall guy. He was first looking on the passenger side for a bit, then stopped as a car drove by – then went to the other side…

Car prowl reported at Canfield Pl N & Wallingford Ave N

Thank you, Deborah, for sharing the following information with us: I just wanted to let you know we experienced the car prowl on Friday, December 18th in the early morning at Canfield and Wallingford N. I left my car unlocked so it wasn’t broken into, but it was ransacked. Thankfully they didn’t find anything of interest but it was a bit unsettling to find things strewn about the car and the glove compartment open and rifled through. I wonder can we contact the north precinct and ask them to step up the patrolling in our neighborhood. I almost never see…

A Late Night Marriage Proposal in Tangletown

Tonight we are sharing a very cool guest post written by Laurel McConnell. Laurel, a photographer located in our neighborhood (8117 Stone Ave N), had the opportunity to photograh her good friend Alyssa, also a Green Lake photograher (6416 Latona Ave NE), at the moment of she received a marriage proposal: A Late Night Marriage Proposal in Tangletown By Laurel McConnell Last night at 7:00 at night, after a long day of moving boxes and furniture (Our new place has THREE floors. Good grief.), the phone rings. Me: “Hello?” Voice: “Hey Laurel, this is Aaron. Alyssa and I are shooting…
