Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Green Lake with Interfaith Community Church
Oh, come, all ye interfaithful…
Before you ring in the New Year in a festive bar or watch the ball drop from the comfort of your warm home, get outdoors and do something meaningful:
Meet near the Green Lake Community Center (7201 E Green Lake Dr N)
December 31st
3:30 p.m.
Join us for music, song, chant and Reflections on the Golden Rule–the statement of Compassion found in every faith and spiritual tradition–by diverse prayer leaders.
Youth will read the Charter for Compassion and some of our diverse prayer leaders will have recently attended the Parliament for a Council of the World’s Religions in Melbourne Australia.
We will follow prayers and song with a reflective candlelight walk around the lake.
Musicians include Yanadevi, Jon & Tova Ramer…
The purpose of the United Religions Initiaitve is:
to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation; to end religiously motivated violence; and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings. (read more at www.uri.org.)This event is co-created with Interfaith Community Church, The Interfaith Network, NICO/CAN.
