Nighttime noise pollution in Green Lake
There’s been some noise pollution in the neighborhood lately. Johanna writes: My husband and I live just behind the Greenlake fire station, and we’ve noticed a really loud humming or whirring sound nearby in recent months. It only happens late at night, and it sounds like helicopters are circling directly overhead for hours on end. Several Italian Greyhounds braved the wind and cold today to search north Green Lake for their missing friend, Rio. Our favorite new blog, SeattleCrime.com, just reported on a police chase that took place in Green Lake last Friday, November 13th: At about 2:00 p.m. on Friday, a woman grabbing coffee near Greenlake saw a teal Honda Civic pull up alongside a Prius parked in the 7700 block of Woodlawn Avenue.
