The Green Lake Relay For Life is looking for volunteers. Interested? Here’s some more information from Christine Underwood of the American Cancer Society:
Relay for Life is the premier event of the American Cancer Society and raises vital funds for research, education, and patient services in our community. The Relay for Life of Green Lake takes place one weekend in June (TBD) at the Lower Woodland Park Track. This 24 hour event draws 400-500 local families and businesses and is entirely volunteer driven. This year’s planning committee is currently seeking volunteers to:
- help with our website,
- recruit teams,
- plan activities for local cancer survivors and their families,
- serve as team captains, and
- help the day of the event.
Time commitments range from 2 hours per month to 5 hours per week, including one monthly meeting. This is a great opportunity for families, for networking, and to get involved with a great cause!
