1,200 expected to attend Sunday’s Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off

This Sunday is the 1st annual Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off

Taking place at Green Lake Park this Sunday, November 22nd, the Green Lake Gobble & Mashed Potato Munch Off will bring over 1,200 event participants to either compete in the 5K run/walk, the free kids dash, or the soon to be a favorite mashed potato competitive eating contest where eight (un)lucky contestants will go head to head for 5 minutes to see who can eat the most mashed potatoes within that time. The winner of the Mashed Potato Munch Off will receive a crown, some money and a lifetime entry into the 5K portion of the event. All event participants have been asked to bring two cans of food each to support the Wallingford based FamilyWorks non-profit food bank.
