Our new favorite thing: Green Lake letterpress

This past summer, as we were perusing the goods at Urban Craft Uprising, we came across a very, very excellent display of letterpressed stationary.  Really, who doesn’t love letterpress?  Especially letterpressed cards that say YOU ARE RADICAL? We got to chatting with Rosanna, the gal behind The Iron Curtain Press, and mentioned our general obsession with all things Green Lake (yeah, we’re kinda dorks that way). Crossing guard needed at Daniel Bagley Elementary

There are several schools in the area that need crossing guards, including Daniel Bagley Elementary (7821 Stone Avenue N), where there is a need for a crossing guard north of the school, at the crosswalk where Green Lake Dr N hits Aurora. Green Lake architect presenting a free remodeling seminar this Sunday afternoon

Green Lake businesses experience upsurge in crime

Is crime escalating in Green Lake?  It sure seems that way. This morning we got word of an armed robbery at a local business.  On Sunday night, shortly after 9 p.m., a gunman donned a surgical mask and robbed both the business and an individual who was in the place of business.  As of yet, the man has not be apprehended by the police.  (Note: the owner asked that the business not be named.)
