2009 Naked Pumpkin Run

Lots of Halloween events are going on around town, but the best (we should know, we saw the pic before it was photoshopped … ) has got to be the Naked Pumpkin Run, a Seattle Halloween tradition since 2006. If you missed this afternoon’s run in Fremont, never fear, naked pumpkin runners are coming here! Don’t have a Halloween costume yet? Well, cover yourself in milfoil and you’re Swamp Thing! But seriously, help keep our fair lake from becoming a swamp. Many of the trees along Green Lake are starting to show their fall colors, but another sign of fall is not so welcome — the milfoil collecting and rotting along parts of the shoreline. The tangles of milfoil can interfere with boaters and swimmers, and the rotting vegetation provides nutrients for algae blooms and reduces oxygen in the water. Learn the art of bicycle maintenance at Gregg's Greenlake Cycle

Gregg’s Greenlake Cycle still has availability in it’s popular Maintenance Class. The class, which costs $125, is four weeks long.  You can sign up to attend on Saturday or Sunday evenings, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in January or February. This class is designed to provide our students with the basic understanding and fundamentals of bicycle maintenance.
