SUP at Greenlake Boat Rentals

What do you think? (No Comments) September 22, 2009 at 4:26PM

Maybe you’ve always wanted to run away to Italy for a summer and be a gondolier. Or your friends want a nickel for every time you reminisce about that long-ago year spent in Hawaii when you “surfed every single day, brah.” Or you just thought propelling a surfboard with a paddle looked cool on VH1′s Daisy of Love. No matter the reason, don’t delay and rent a stand up paddle board from Greenlake Boat Rentals (7351 E Green Lake Dr N).

Stand up paddle surfing (or SUP, if you’re kewl) is too new and awesome and mysterious to appear on the Greenlake Boat Rentals website or flyer, but for $14/hour and a shaka gesture, you can be out on the lake inspiring the envy of everyone who happens to look away before you fall in.

The shop is open today and tomorrow and all weekends while the weather is nice. We almost wish their webcam was aimed at the shop so we could see when they’re open for business. Instead we have to go old school and call (dialing 206-527-0171 with our right hand while signing shaka with our left hand, natch) to see if the SUP’ing is on…or go real old school and show up and hope for the best.
