Is it Cyclocross when I’m riding around the lake and swerve into the grass to avoid the stroller mafia?
No…but you’re on the right track. To learn what Cyclocross is all about, attend the free clinic at Gregg’s:
Tuesday, September 29th at 6:30 p.m.
Gregg’s Greenlake Cycle
7007 Woodlawn Ave NE
The leaves are just starting to turn and the nights are just starting to get a little chilly and while summer isn’t over yet, Cyclocross season is just around the corner. Cyclocross is arguably the most fun bike racing you can do, as well as the most challenging. The community is great, and the weather is generally bad, but it’s always a good time. The Northwest is a great place for Cyclocross and there are dozens of races between September and January.
If you are interested in participating, this is the clinic for you. We’ll have local racers in the room to tell you all about the sport. What you’ll need to participate, great places to practice and take you through a typical race day. There will also be plenty of time for questions.
Register here. Warning: if you get hooked you’ll want to buy a new Cyclocross bike…and new Cyclocross outfits…and probably some sort of small brush to get the mud out of your ears and nostrils.
