According to KOMO (Channel 4), police are patrolling the lake tonight, in hopes of preventing another mugging.
In addition to the mobile command unit located by the basketball courts (thanks for the tip, Mitch!), KOMO reports that plain clothes officers are walking the lake as well.
Regardless, it seems prudent to stay in tonight … be careful, everyone.
Update, Saturday September 12: The mobile command unit is back again tonight.
Update, Sunday September 13: The mobile command unit appears to be gone. As of 9pm, two police cruisers and two bike cops are at the lake. Mitch reports the following: “A police car, lights flashing, just rolled by on the greenlake walking path on patrol.” (Thanks Mitch! Stay safe – we need you!)
