Twelve homeless advocates were arrested when they refused to leave the Nickelsville encampment at Port of Seattle’s Terminal 107 Wednesday.

Port of Seattle officials say they worked with Nickelsville and community leaders to find safe and legal options for the residents of the camp, which was on port property without permission.
After the eviction, encampment organizers announced that St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Seattle would provide a temporary location for the encampment.
